Dis8uise was founded by Joelle Alexis in 2020. 

Dis8uise was created on the premise of being misunderstood, coping with anxiety, and “disguising” yourself to blend in the background. 

As a college student, it became difficult for Joelle to find healthy ways to cope with the amount of stress that college brings. This is when Joelle started using Lavender and Eucalyptus scents after a long day/night. 

The number 8 has always been Joelle’s favorite number. 8 has many significant meanings; it means victory, new beginnings, energy, and mental stability. 8 is also a representation of infinity. 

Dis8uise is a movement to encourage people to be comfortable with their most authentic self.
